Moonstruck

 In Meditation, peace

There she is, la luna .. earlier this morning a Full Lunar Eclipse, mesmerizing!
Even if I am inspired when she appears as the new moon, with new beginnings and fresh starts, I must confess I get moonstruck, when she appears in her fullest.

Moonstruck by Oxford dictionaries means: “unable to think or act normally, especially as a result of being in love.”
And it originates from the late 17th century when it was believed that the moon could affect the mind, I still think it can.

I have dwelled on this topic in a previous newsletter and it was one of those “aha moments” when I realized that by expressing my sensations in writing they become real. You know HOW you feel, but at the same time you are not sure WHAT the feeling is. But then you write about it, you have to use words and when you can see it, the words give life to the sensation you until then only experienced as a feeling. Does it make sense? At the same time I am also a firm believer in the fact that words can limit us. If we have to put everything into words, to translate every sensation and every feeling, I am sure we would lose the real thing. Then we have the picture, that says more than 1000 words ..
But if one is careful and handles the words with the respect they deserve, they have at least helped me to understand, a lot and better.

So, am I now unable to think and/or act normally, because I am in love?
Well I actually like to think so!
Though I am allergic to references and associations like “normal” as it needs a definition and a reference in relation to what, by whom?
But in this case I hope I am not normal as I am in love with a lot of things, that are not things, but I’m in love with life as it unfolds!
As I am privileged, healthy I am surrounded by beauty in people, in nature and physical places.
And I am free.
Free to breathe, to move and foremost I am free to chose.
Free to chose my thoughts, my words and to be present, every single moment if I chose …

.. I am moonstruck 🖤
